Even if you live on the Maine coast, you’ve probably never experienced fog like this. Barbara Winslow’s children’s book, Just A Little Fog, published by North Country Press, should have been titled, Holy Cow It’s Foggy.
Barbara’s fog blankets the country, causing chaos, while a TV 5 weatherman insists “It’s just a little fog.” Nope, it’s a lot of fog.
Tami Galbraith’s illustrations put you right into that fog. She lives in Skowhegan but obviously has visited the coast to experience real fog.
Barbara has written four children’s books and taught school in South Dakota, Alaska, and Maine. In this book, the story is told in rhymes, and she hopes the book inspires students and teachers to explore weather patterns, word play and reading for fun.
I suggest you pick up a copy of this book and head to the Maine coast to read it, in the fog.
