Let’s pepper (and humor) the gubernatorial candidates with outdoor questions

It’s time to inject some humor into the ugly discouraging race for governor. If the candidates keep up all this negativity, we won’t like any of them by the time election day gets here.

I’m working on a candidate survey featuring questions that will be humorous, as well as enlightening. I want ot learn more about Paul, Mike, and Eliot, using humor.

You can read more about this in my weekly editorial page column in the Kennebec Journal and Waterville Morning Sentinel. Read that here.

One of the questions, for example, will be: Which of the following is the best bet to boost the economy? Choices: More Walmarts – Focus on recruiting huge new businesses – get rid of unions – sell all our pulp to China so we can have cheaper toilet paper – increase the minimum wage – other (your best bet).

What I’m looking to you for are questions about hunting, fishing, wildlife, and other outdoor issues. Email them to me at georgesmithmaine@gmail.com, soon. I’d like to complete the survey and get it to the candidates by the end of June.

Thanks!
